When Hans Müller, Supply Chain Director of Mercedes-Benz China, pushed open the door of AIYA TAPE's climate-controlled warehouse, 20,000 rolls of high-temperature wire harness tape greeted him in uniformly matte black. Each roll, destined for Stuttgart and resistant to 200°C, bore a traceable laser code—marking the first time this German automotive giant entrusted core wire harness tape orders to a Chinese supplier. The inspection site transformed into a quality dialogue between German engineering and Chinese intelligent manufacturing. 1
The "German-Style Examination Room" in the Warehouse
In the 25°C humidity-controlled environment, Hans randomly sampled 37 tape rolls with a vernier caliper; thickness tolerance remained within ±0.03mm. As his assistant scanned the stacks with an infrared thermometer, real-time temperature/humidity curves and tape performance metrics projected onto an electronic display. "You apply semiconductor-grade storage standards to tape?" Facing the German expert’s astonishment, AIYA’s Technical Director demonstrated their cloud warehouse management system—each roll’s curing time, pressure parameters, and QC reports were retrievable via QR code, the very system that secured the order. 1
The Hidden Champion on Tape
Behind this order lay 18 months of R&D: using German acrylic adhesive, the tape maintains an adhesive strength of 3.5N/mm² across -40°C to 220°C. Concluding the tour, Hans photographed the floor guidance markers—anti-slip warning tapes also produced by AIYA, used for 5 consecutive years at Volkswagen’s Wolfsburg plant. "From automotive wire harnesses to factory signage, you are redefining Chinese tape," he remarked while signing the acceptance. 1
At this moment, those 20,000 tape rolls are silently awaiting shipment. They will traverse Eurasia to integrate into the precision bloodstream of German automotive manufacturing. AIYA TAPE’s global journey has only just begun.
